Moravian-Silesian Region (Czech Republic)

Moravice Valley (CZ0813474) – An area of 97 ha in the Nízký Jeseník Mountains contains valuable natural beech forests and other forest habitats. The site is important for the protection of protected invertebrate species and for the restoration of original forest ecosystems.

Hněvošický háj (CZ0810423) – The 68.4 ha site is located near Opava and borders Poland. It is characterized by oak-hornbeam forests (9170) and other deciduous forests with high natural value. The area is also important from the point of view of cross-border cooperation.

Kojetínské vrchy (CZ0810035) – Natural beech and oak-hornbeam forests are found on an area of 111 ha in the Starojice region. The location requires care to transform the stands and protect biodiversity.

Niva Olše – Věřňovice (CZ0813457) – Riparian forests with an area of 28.1 ha are located on the border with Poland. The area is of high importance for amphibians and saproxylic insects and is part of migration corridors.

Border Meanders of the Oder (CZ0814093) – This 36.7 ha site in the Bohumín region protects floodplain forests along the meandering Oder. It is valuable for its natural processes and the occurrence of rare insect species.

Olomouc Region (Czech Republic)

Stará Červená Voda (CZ0713827) – A large site with an area of 332 ha in the Rychlebské Mountains includes a diverse mosaic of forests. It is important, among other things, for the occurrence of the yellow-bellied toad and other protected species.

Bystřice Valley (CZ0714772) – This 80.6 ha site in the Nízký Jeseník Mountains protects old beech and maple stands. The area is key for the occurrence of comfrey and other endangered species.

Województwo Śląskie (Poland)

Beskid Śląski (PLH240005) – A 295.73 ha area on the border with the Czech Republic, it protects diverse forest habitats including peat and floodplain forests. It is important for the protection of Carpathian fauna and endangered species such as the yellow-bellied toad, the great newt and the brown stink bug.

Cieszyńskie Źródła Tufowe (PLH240001) – The area of 208.18 ha is a forested landscape with calcareous springs and deep stream valleys. There are beech forests, oak-hornbeam and floodplain forests, and the endangered species of the fire-bellied toad and the great newt.

Odra Border Meander (PLH240013) – The 41.61 ha site is located in the valley of the significantly meandering Odra River on the border with the Czech Republic. It protects floodplain forests with important species of saproxylic insects. The area is threatened by the invasion of non-native plants, which limits the regeneration of forest cover.

Województwo Opolskie (Poland)

Ostoja Sławniowicko-Burgrabicka (PLH160004) – The 31.7 ha site is located in the Opavské vrchy Hills. It protects floodplain forests and populations of the yellow-bellied toad, which is a protected species of European importance.

Rozumicky Forest (PLH160018) – A large forest complex with an area of 96.58 ha is significant thanks to the preserved communities of linden and hornbeam forests.

Góry Opawskie (PLH160007) – A vast area of 216.7 ha includes beech and maple stands and valuable floodplain forests. The site is important both for forest habitats and for target species protected by the Natura 2000 network.


Województwo Dolnośląskie (Poland)

Góry Bialskie i Grupa Śnieżnika (PLH020016) – Mountain beech forests covering an area of 222.5 ha in the Sudetes represent one of the most valuable forest sites in the region. They are important for their biodiversity and preserved natural processes.

South Bohemian Region (Czech Republic)

Borkovická blata (CZ0314021) – The site with an area of 123.3 ha is located in the Borkovické blat area. It is a significant peat pine forest (91D0), which provides a refuge for a number of specialized species, including saproxylic insects and peatland vegetation. The site is also significant for its hydrology and preserved wetland ecosystems.

Fabián – Homolka (CZ0310001) – A forest complex with an area of 217.7 ha in the Třeboň region consists mainly of natural beech forests (9110, 9130). The location is valuable not only for its biodiversity, but also for the potential for cross-border cooperation with Austria and the genetic value of the stands.

Opolenec (CZ0314044) – A small locality with an area of 5.8 ha in the Šumava region represents rare steppe pine forests (91U0). The area is important mainly due to the occurrence of the endemic Czech gentian.

Ryšovy (CZ0310067) – This 16.1 ha site is located near the Šumava Protected Landscape Area. It is a steppe pine forest, where it is important to support species diversity and maintain the open structure of forest stands.

Velký and Malý Kamýk (CZ0310020) – The Písecké Mountains hide a site with an area of 52.4 ha, where sour beech forests occur. The area is important for its preserved natural vegetation with a diverse species composition.

Hlubocké obory (CZ0314126) – A vast area with a total area of 3,260.7 ha is an important habitat for saproxylic insects, including the brown stink bug and the common stag beetle. The site is an example of a cultural landscape with high natural value.
